AT LOVE TO PAWS, I AM PROUD TO PROVIDE A SAFE AND SECURE ENVIRONMENT FOR YOUR PET. BY MAKING A BOOKING WITH LOVE TO PAWS YOU AGREE TO THE STANDARD TERMS & CONDITIONS AS SET OUT BELOW:
1. BOOKINGS - You may amend your original booking once only (up to 72 hrs pre the original booked date). If the change is accepted you will be notified. Changes may be declined due to availability or other reasons. No fee is applied for one changed appointment respecting the condition above.
2. CANCELLATIONS & NO SHOWS – Love to Paws requires at least 72 hours notice to cancel your original booking. Less than this, or no show at your booked appointment time results in FULL payment being due. To reschedule or cancel an appointment please call or text the salon on 07359 778101, providing your name, pets name, time and date of appointment. Only once Love to Paws has acknowledged this message can your request be confirmed. Any and all future appointments are suspended and no further appointments offered, until the owed groom amount is paid in full.
3. TIME KEEPING - I work by 1-2-1 appointment and offer a free reminder service by email. Any late arrivals of 15 minutes or more, I reserve the right to reschedule or cancel appointments. If cancelled, FULL payment is required. If you think you will be late, please call Love to Paws in advance to advise. Please arrive 5 minutes early for your appointment. I don't have facilities for multiple pets and CANNOT accept the next until the previous one has left. You will be messaged, if there is a delay to the collection time of your pet. Please arrange for your pet to be collected with a 10 minute window of this time. If not, a late collection fee of £10 will be charged.
4. PRICING - Pricing is based on breed, hair length, coat condition, temperament, age, and grooming history. Extra charges may apply if your dog is matted, requires extra bathing, has fleas, or has not been groomed within the recommended grooming schedule. Puppy prices are only applicable to dogs under 6 months of age.
5. PAYMENTS - A deposit is required at the time of initial booking and the deposit is kept as a rolling deposit going forwards. The first appointment is not confirmed until this deposit is paid. Full cost payment of the service is required upon collection of your pet by cash, credit or debit card.
There may be occasions where additional grooming is required beyond what was initially quoted that couldn’t reasonably be identified or foreseen at the time of booking. I will endeavour to contact you immediately, but any additional costs shall be your responsibility and Love to Paws shall not be liable for these. All payments for extra grooming services must be paid before leaving the salon. If under extreme circumstances payment is not made on collection, there will be a late payment fee of £10 added to the final amount.
6. GROOM DURATION - Times for commencement and completion of any service are given in good faith, however, unless specifically guaranteed, Love to Paws will not be liable for any delay in commencement or completion of a grooming service. Where appropriate, Love to Paws will notify the customer of any delays at the earliest opportunity.
7. PET’S HEALTH & WELFARE - By attending appointments, you confirm your pet is fit and healthy and up-to-date with vaccinations, flea & wormer treatments. Grooming of sick/ elderly dogs is entirely at owner’s risk. You will advise the groomer of any heart conditions, stress related issues and warts/ lumps/ bumps your pet may have, to the best of your knowledge. Love to Paws does not take responsibility if your pet develops an allergic reaction to any grooming products. Please let me know of anything in advance, if known, or notify of ANY irritations caused afterwards. Grooming may expose underlying skin or health conditions that I cannot be held liable for.
8. VET CARE – Love to Paws endeavours to provide the best service possible, but in the rare case of an accident, the owner agrees for Love to Paws to administer emergency first aid and should the need arise, transport their pet to the nearest vet for treatment. The pet owner agrees to pay any and all fees incurred. Every precaution will be taken to prevent injury from occurring, but if this does happen and your dog needs to see a vet, Love to Paws is not liable for costs incurred.
9. VACCINATIONS - If your dog has not been vaccinated or their previous vaccination is out of date please leave 14 days from the date of vaccination and their appointment. Regretfully Love to Paws is unable to groom puppies until 2 weeks after their 2nd vaccination.
10. FLEAS - Love to Paws reserves the right to decline to groom dogs with fleas. If fleas are found on your dog and we have not been informed of this possibility, an additional cost of £20 (on top of the groom price) will be incurred to pay for the products required to treat the salon and prevent cross contamination to other dogs. Extra care will be taken during the bathing process to maximise the chance of washing them all off the dog’s coat during the bath. This cannot be guaranteed and Love to Paws reserves the right to decline any other types of service until your pet’s flea infection is treated.
11. EAR PLUCKING & ANAL GLANDS - Love to Paws does not perform ear plucking or anal gland expression. Please seek treatment from your vet for this.
12. GROOMER SAFETY – Love to Paws reserves the right to refuse a dog that presents a risk of injury to itself or staff, & muzzle your dog if it represents a danger to any other dog or person. Please ensure you advise at booking if your dog has behavioural problems.
13. GUARANTEE - Due to the nature of our work, Love to Paws does not offer any sort of guarantee or warranty but can offer advice on how to care for your dog following a groom. Love to Paws cannot be held responsible for your actions, or any subsequent issues caused directly or indirectly by yourself.
14. ROUTINE APPOINTMENTS - Routine appointments are important. Most dogs, dependent on breed need regular grooming every 4-8 weeks. This is the time scale you should consider. If you are unsure, please ask.

1. DUTY OF CARE- Love to Paws will ensure your pet is treated with kindness and their health and well-being monitored.
2. PET HEALTH - You confirm that your pet(s) are free of transmittable infections, flea/worm treatment/s, vaccinations and certificates are current and up-to-date, and available to view. Pets whose health does not meet with the above will not be booked.
3. VET ALERTS - You agree to sign a vet release form authorising Love to Paws to act on your behalf during the period booked and administer emergency first aid should the need arise. You are responsible for ALL vet costs incurred during your absence and will pay for any vet costs directly with the vet practice.
4. EMERGENCIES - If there is a concern regarding the health of your pet, Love to Paws will try to contact you, but failing that will contact your emergency contact. If your pet requires vet care, Love to Paws will transport your pet to your vet practice or the nearest vets if the situation seems critical. Emergency vet trips and additional time with your pet are charged per 30 mins, at the standard single tariff pet visit rate.
5. PROVISIONS - You, the pet owner, are responsible for providing all medicine, food, treats, litter needed during your entire absence. If items are not provided in sufficient quantities Love to Paws will where possible purchase the same brand, unless you can arrange for product delivery without interruption to your pet’s care. Each shopping trip will incur a £5 fee plus cost of items purchased. Incurred costs will be invoiced to you upon your return.
6. DAMAGE - Love to Paws will not be responsible for damage to your property caused by your pet(s). Every attempt will be made to clean any mess made and found during the booking. All necessary cleaning materials shall be made available by the owner, and be easily accessible for Love to Paws to use. Love to Paws will remove any soiled cat litter / food pouches from your property and dispose of it responsibly.
7. SECURITY - Client’s keys will not have their address on them. Keys will be held securely and returned once the client notifies Love to Paws of their safe return and all outstanding monies are paid.
8. PAYMENTS - A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total cost, is required on the day of booking, to confirm and secure the dates. Remaining costs for all booked services will be invoiced and payment must be received a minimum of seven days prior to the first date of the booking. Payment by credit/debit card or BACS.
9. CANCELLATION - Fees are non-refundable should you decide to only part use a booked package – return early or depart later, and/or if you decide to cancel the whole booking at the last minute. It is applicable to all booked dates.
Bookings cancelled 7 to 4 days prior to the agreed start date incur an additional 25% of the total booking cost. Bookings cancelled 3 or less days prior to the agreed start date are charged at 100% of the total cost of your booking. In the unlikely event Love to Paws has to cancel a booking as much notice as possible will be given and a full refund of monies paid made. A breach of the terms and conditions may result in cancellation of agreement.
10. CONSULTATION - Prior to the booking commencing, Love to Paws will meet with you and your pet in your own home. It is important at this stage you are happy with the service Love to Paws will be providing you with.

Under the Animal Welfare Act, 2006, it is an offence to cause unnecessary suffering to an animal.
Love to Paws will always ensure your dog is comfortable and will not cause discomfort by de-matting. Love to Paws reserves the right to remove the dogs coat with clippers if it is felt that de-matting will cause stress.
Shaving of dogs will change their appearance and the hair will be very short and close to the skin. This may expose pre-existing skin conditions which Love to Paws will not be held liable for.
Love to Paws will not be held liable for any conditions arising following the clipping of a dog. Examples are, but not limited to, redness, irritation, nicks from the blade from clipping so close to the skin from the neglect of the dogs coat not being maintained at home.
A warning that severely matted dogs can suffer many conditions from the neglect of not being brushed or groomed regularly which Love to Paws are not held liable for.
Extra charges will apply if there is substantial matting. This covers the extra time it takes, the use of specialist tools and wear on the equipment used, Matting charges start at £25 upwards and will be determined on a case by case basis.
Love to Paws accepts no responsibility for any vet fees if health issues are exposed when clipping off a matted coat.
By booking and attending an appointment with Love to Paws, you give your permission to shave your dog/s off if required.
An initial consultation is booked and carried out before any teeth cleaning can commence.
The method of ultrasonic dental cleaning is highly effective in removing mild tartar, improving gums, breath odour and overall oral health. Love to Paws cannot guarantee the results, effectiveness or suitability for individual pets due to varying external factors.
If dogs become distressed or I discover anything likely to cause discomfort to your pet, I will discontinue immediately and inform you. The best approach to solve this will then be discussed with you.
Each pet will have its own toothbrush head that will not be used on another dog. This is purchased as part of the initial consultation and will be replaced after 25 treatments or sooner if required. Some pets may chew the brush head and if this is excessive it may need replacing sooner to maintain effectiveness. Brush heads will require replacing after 1 year regardless of number of times they have been used. Toothbrush costs are passed onto owners and you will be informed of these costs as heads are needed. The deep clean cost includes a toothbrush head for your pet.
If I feel any teeth are loose or at risk of becoming loose when the tartar comes off I will request you get your pets’ teeth checked at your veterinarian before treatment.
It is possible that the tartar build up will be too great and a veterinary dental visit may be necessary initially. This can then followed up with ultrasonic maintenance visits with me.
Love to Paws cannot be held responsible for any problems occurring from poor dentition before, during or after any ultrasonic treatments.
Love to Paws ultrasonic treatment is not a veterinary procedure and Love to Paws cannot diagnose any problems with your dogs mouth. Please have any advisories checked by your veterinarian.
You, the owner understand that the effectiveness of the ultrasound teeth cleaning is based on frequency and that optimum oral health might only be achieved by keeping to the frequency recommended by Love to Paws.
By attending an appointment, you acknowledge reading the Terms and Conditions and understand them and agree to them for any and all.
